  1.     SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS

  4.         AmiPac needs at least 1 megabyte of memory and one ex-
  5.     ternal floppydisk drive or a harddisk to run properly.  
  6.  
  7.         It is  recommended to  use  KickStart/Workbench 2.x or 
  8.     higher, as both the AmiPac program  and the  distribution disk 
  9.     are taylored for it.
  10.         
  11.         It is  possible to  make  AmiPac run moderately  under
  12.     KickStart/WorkBench 1.3, but I recommend that you upgrade your
  13.     KickStart ROM or use a RAM: resident version of it.
  14.         You'll have to  modify the distribution disk  here and 
  15.     there to use KickStart 1.3, but that is all up to you.

  18.     HARD DISK INSTALLATION
  19.     ======================

  21.         If you are a harddisk owner, praise yourself lucky and
  22.     insert the AmiPac distribution  disk into df0:. Then  drag the 
  23.     AmiPac_>>>_HD icon to your destination  directory and  double-
  24.     klick it there. Thats all!

  27.     FLOPPY DISK INSTALLATION
  28.     ========================
  29.     
  30.         Many of the files and utilities need certain libraries
  31.     to be able to run  at all. Should  you  have troubles  getting
  32.     things  to run, you  are  probably missing  one or more of the
  33.     libraries on your boot  device. Open the LIBS  drawers of your
  34.     boot device and the AmiPac distribution disk and drag over the
  35.     libraries that you are missing.
  36.         
  37.         Note: The libraries are compressed to save space. They
  38.     do  not  work  before  they  are initialized  by  the  EXPLOAD  
  39.     command. You should  copy this  command  to the 'C' drawer  on 
  40.     your boot device  and include  the  command  EXPLOAD  in  your 
  41.     StartUp-Sequence or User-Startup.

  43.         After this you may have to reboot. Then use the CLICK-
  44.     DOS utility, initialized  by the  TEXT & TRICKS icon, to check
  45.     out for fonts and keymaps that you  might want  to use.  These
  46.     too need to be on your boot device.

  49.     READY-MADE BOOT FLOPPY DISK

  52.         Oh yes. If you are a complete novice to  computing and
  53.     cannot make the darned boot-disk work, I do  have a ready-made
  54.     AmiPac-customized  WorkBench disk in  store. Just send a disk,
  55.     2 IRC's or 2 extra floppy disks to cover postage to:
